Not salt tolerant of inundation by salty or brackish water.



Moderate. Tolerant of salty wind and may get some salt spray. Exposure to salt spray would be uncommon (major storms).

The roots and seeds are poisonous.

Birds eat the berries.

Flatwoods, disturbed areas.
